OFFICIAL VISIT OF DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER FOR FINANCE LEE HSIEN LOONG TO INDIA
10-19 JANUARY 2004

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lee Hsien Loong will make an official visit to India from 10-19 January 2004 at the invitation of Indian Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani. DPM Lee will visit New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

DPM Lee will meet with DPM Advani and a broad spectrum of top Indian political and business leaders. DPM Lee will visit several companies, including International Tech Park, Satyam Computer Services and Infosys Technologies Ltd. In Mumbai, DPM Lee will deliver the keynote address at the Standard Chartered-Confederation of Indian Industry "Singapore Conference" on 16 January 2004.

DPM Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Members of Parliament Mr Seng Han Thong, Ms Indranee Rajah and Mr Zainudin Nordin as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Economic Development Board and Monetary Authority of Singapore.
