Mr Rahul Gandhi, Member of the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament), will visit Singapore during the week of 5 June 2006 at the invitation of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. During his stay, Mr Gandhi will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, Minister for Education Tharman Shanmugaratnam and a group of Singapore MPs.

Mr Gandhi will also visit various government agencies and business enterprises including Changi Airport, the Singapore Management University, Biopolis, the Singapore National Eye Centre, the Port of Singapore Authority, Singapore Airlines, Keppel Corporation, Creative Technologies and SingTel. Mr Gandhi will also attend an interactive session co-hosted by the Institute of South Asian Studies and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
