The Libyan Secretary for Asian Affairs H.E. Mohamed Omar Al-Barani will be visiting Singapore from 27-29 November 2006 at the invitation of Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed. This is the first official visit by a senior Libyan government official since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 3 March 2006.

Secretary Al-Barani will call on Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport Minister Raymond Lim and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang. Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will host lunch in Secretary Al-Barani's honour. While in Singapore, Secretary Al-Barani will visit Jurong Island, PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal and the NEWater Visitor Centre.
