Meeting between Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil in Madrid, Spain, on 18 November 2015 / Credit: MFA

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, who is on his first official visit to Spain, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil in Madrid.

The two ministers reaffirmed the good bilateral relations between Singapore and Spain and agreed to continue to work closely to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, including in the economic sector. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Minister Balakrishnan departs Spain on 18 November 2015 for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to attend the 27^th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits from 19 to 22 November 2015.
