Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport Mrs Josephine Teo met with Secretary of State for European Affairs in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of France Mr Harlem Désir on 2 March 2016 during a working visit to Paris. This was the first meeting between the two Ministers.

At the meeting, they acknowledged the warm and broad-based ties between Singapore and France, which celebrated the 50^th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2015. They also expressed satisfaction with the state of bilateral relations as strategic partners.

They also exchanged views on global issues, including recent developments in the European Union and Asia.
