          In response to media queries about an attempted military coup in Turkey, the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµSpokesman said:

“Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµis concerned about developments in Turkey and is monitoring the situation closely.  Until the situation becomes clearer, we advise Singaporeans to avoid non-essential travel to Turkey for the time being.  Singaporeans who are in Turkey should stay indoors, monitor the news closely and e-register with MFA.  They should let their family and friends know that they are safe.  Those who require consular assistance should contact the Singapore Embassy in Ankara or the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµDuty Office (24 hours) at:
