            President Tony Tan Keng Yam will be visiting Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games from 11 to 15 August 2016 in support of Team Singapore.  During his visit, President Tan will also meet the Singaporean community in Brazil at a National Day Reception.  Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, Mr J Y Pillay, will exercise the functions of the office of the President for the period from 11 to 17 August 2016.
