                President Tony Tan Keng Yam will visit Bangkok, Thailand on 24 October 2016 to pay his respects to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Grand Palace.

                President Tan will be accompanied by Mrs Tan and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during his visit.

                During President Tan’s absence, Mr J Y Pillay, Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, will exercise the functions of the office of the President.
