Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan attended the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Bonn, Germany, from 16 to 17 February 2017.

The G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting discussed pressing global economic, security and development challenges. Minister Balakrishnan spoke about the importance of strengthening the United Nations system, which is the only global institution with universal membership able to sustain an inclusive rules-based multilateral system. Minister Balakrishnan also held meetings with a number of his counterparts on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting.
