His Excellency Sebastian Kurz, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 29 to 31 August 2018, at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. An Official Welcome Ceremony will be held for Chancellor Kurz. He will call on President Halimah Yacob, and meet and be hosted to lunch by Prime Minister Lee. Chancellor Kurz will also visit the National Orchid Garden, where an orchid will be named in his honour, and Singapore Polytechnic.

Chancellor Kurz’s visit reaffirms the warm and friendly relations between Singapore and Austria, and will be an opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation.

Chancellor Kurz will be accompanied by the Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Norbert Hofer, Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research Heinz Fassmann, Federal Minister of Digital and Economic Affairs Margarete Schramboeck, President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Harald Mahrer, senior government officials, and business and science representatives.
