ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Statement on the Tsunami in Banten and Lampung Provinces, Indonesia

ASEAN Member States extend their deepest sympathy and condolences to the Government and people of Indonesia for the loss of lives and damage to property caused by the tsunami that struck Banten and Lampung Provinces on 22 December 2018. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy, and their families.

ASEAN stands ready in this challenging time to extend its cooperation and support to Indonesia, based on the priority areas of relief efforts as identified by Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency.
