Dear President Ramaphosa,

Please accept my congratulations on leading the African National Congress to victory at the 2019 National Assembly Elections. I am confident that you will be able to build on the success of your first year as President and chart a bright future for the people of South Africa.

Singapore and South Africa have forged strong and friendly ties over the years. We discussed some areas where Singapore and South Africa could work together at our meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Buenos Aires in December 2018. Our officials are following up on these and other areas, including on technical cooperation.

I look forward to meeting you in Osaka next month and wish you good health and success.

Yours sincerely

LEE HSIEN LOONG

His Excellency Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa

Republic of South Africa
