State Visit of the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow, 26 to 27 August 2019

President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 26 to 27 August 2019, at the invitation of President Halimah Yacob. This will be President Berdimuhammedow’s first State Visit to Singapore.

President Berdimuhammedow will receive an official Welcome Ceremony at the Istana and call on President Halimah Yacob, who will host a State Banquet in honour of President Berdimuhammedow. President Berdimuhammedow will meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and both leaders will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Legal Field, the Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement, and the Visa Abolition Agreement.

President Berdimuhammedow will meet business leaders over breakfast to discuss commercial opportunities in Turkmenistan.

President Berdimuhammedow will be accompanied by senior Cabinet Ministers and government officials.
