Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received a phone call from Indonesian President Joko Widodo on 28 July 2020. President Joko Widodo congratulated Prime Minister Lee on the result of the recent Singapore General Election.

Prime Minister Lee and President Joko Widodo reaffirmed the excellent ties between Singapore and Indonesia, and looked forward to continued bilateral and regional cooperation to address common challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
