Democratic People's Republic of Korea's Ballistic Missile Tests

21 February 2023

Singapore strongly condemns the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) recent spate of ballistic missile tests, including the test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on 18 February 2023.

Like the DPRK’s previous missile tests, this is a dangerous provocation which will exacerbate tensions on the Korean Peninsula and jeopardise stability in the region. It is also a blatant violation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

Singapore reiterates our longstanding call for the DPRK to cease all provocations immediately and abide by its international obligations and commitments.
