Democratic People's Republic of Korea's recent ballistic missile tests

Singapore strongly condemns the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) recent ballistic missile launches, including the launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on 18 December 2023.

The DPRK’s numerous missile launches are a clear violation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions. They raise tensions on the Korean Peninsula, and jeopardise peace, security, and stability in the region.

Singapore reiterates our longstanding call for the DPRK to cease all provocations immediately and abide by its international obligations and commitments.
