Renunciation of Singapore Permanent Resident Status

 

                With effect from 4 March 2024, current Singapore Permanent Residents may only submit their application to renounce online at . Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore in Kuala Lumpur no longer accept hardcopy applications.

 

For former Singapore Permanent Residents who no longer have an active SPR status due to the expiry of the Re-Entry Permit, you may request for a letter verifying your SPR status at . This letter is accepted by the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) for the purpose of account closure.
