The Chauffeur at the Singapore High Commission plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, dignitaries, and materials. This role requires a professional with a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent service.
The Chauffeur would be responsible for:
- Driving safely within and outside Delhi as assigned.
- Performing daily cleaning and basic maintenance of official vehicles.
- Supporting routine and urgent dispatch work, including office errands such as banking.
- Managing vehicular traffic during official events and guest arrivals/departures.
- Advising on routes, distances, and timings for VIP visits and delegations.
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and overtime claims.
- Assisting in the distribution of incoming mails, newspapers, and other materials.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks like photocopying, gift wrapping, and filing.
The ideal candidate would:
- Have a minimum education qualification of Class 12 or equivalent.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Be familiar with routes in Delhi and nearby ares.
- Have minimum 8 years of working experience with embassies or as a personal driver for embassy personnel.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Be 30 to 40 years of age.
- Possess basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Possess strong communication and time management skills.
- Be willing to work overtime as required.
- Have a working knowledge of smart phone messaging and productivity apps (WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Google maps etc).
