2021年1月18日、シンガポールは（1961年10月5日のハーグ国际私法会议）に基づく「外国公文书の认証を不要とする条约」（”アポスティーユ条约&濒诲辩耻辞;）に加盟しました。
アポスティーユ条约を运用に际して、2021年9月16日より、シンガポール法曹协会 (Singapore Academy of Law) は、海外向けのすべてのシンガポール文书にアポスティーユを発行する権限を与えられます。〔注：2021年1月18日にシンガポールはハーグで文书を寄託しました。现在、88の国と欧州连合がこの条约に加盟しており、加盟国及び団体が任命した机関によって発行されたアポスティーユを受け入れることができます。〕
〝アポスティーユ条约&笔谤颈尘别;に加盟している日本においては、外务省がアポスティーユの発行権限を有します。 2021年9月16日以降、外务省が日本の公文书にアポスティーユを発行した场合、在京シンガポール大使馆での法的手続きを経ることなく、直接シンガポールで提示することが可能となります。
